Seeing Red is part of a 3 part workshop using the natural dye from the Madder plant. Boil the root, mordant the fabrics, add to a cooking pot & wait to see the reaction. Like all natural dyes, variations occur dependent on heat, adding acid or alkali solutions! The process is quite messy & does resemble the scene from a horror movie!.
