Welcome to my artistic journey! Photography is the foundation of my creative expression, inspired by the rugged Cumbrian landscape of my childhood, the Cheshire countryside where I now live, and the vibrant urban environment of Manchester where I worked as a chartered surveyor. I blend the colors, textures, and the rich history of these surroundings into my mixed media artwork. My process is one of experimentation, where surfaces and materials come together to create unexpected and joyful outcomes.

Through thorough locational and historical research, I aim to convey a narrative that resonates deeply reflecting my strong personal connection to these places and the objects that inspire me.

Over the past few years my volunteering work in the heritage archive environment has fueled my passion for further research. I am dedicated to uncovering and sharing the stories of people and places, ensuring that their narratives are preserved and celebrated for future generations.

In May 2022, I graduated from Derby University/ Leek School of Art, with a Foundation Degree (Distinction) in Creative Art & Design Practice.

After 3 years, a pandemic and some tough times, it was a delight to reach such a milestone. It was also 33 years since I graduated in my first degree in Estate Management.

It just shows it is never too late to learn again!
