The Colours of Gujarat, India
In March 2025, I fulfilled a lifelong ambition to travel to India. I had tried for years to persuade friends or family to join me but no one took up the offer , so I went alone joining a specific tour lead by UK artist Sue Lawty. What a wonderful 17 days with just 5 of us on the tour. We visited many artisan homes and saw true crafts persons at work, in th state of Gujarat in western India. Largely untouched by tourism, it was a riot of colour & the people were so kind & passionate about their craft. How I can condense 2600 photos in to a web page - I don't think I can do! We started in the lovely UNESCO heritage city of Ahmedabad, then criss crossing the state & staying in Bhuj, Gondal & Desada.
