Point Paper Conservation



The final part of the Cartwright & Sheldon project focused on point paper conservation. During the last week, we accomplished the following:

  • Cleaned 261 objects using simple surface cleaning techniques.

  • Identified a pattern numbering system.

  • Found evidence that patterns created in the 1920s were reused in the 1960s.
