As we kick off 2026, our focus is on advancing the Cartwright & Sheldon silk weaving archive. We've diligently sifted through over 100 boxes of predominantly silk textiles, each containing 100 to 200 items, making this a meticulous journey. We've pinpointed 50 boxes that require immediate cleaning and repacking, and we're excited to apply our new skills to ensure these treasures are preserved the future. So far, our exploration has revealed 19 distinct weaving styles in just the first box, along with countless exquisite examples that showcase the artistry of these textiles.
